Despite a constant flow of unboxings and plastic, not a lot of games end up finished here at Channel Gaming, at least not any new ones, anyway. So rather than a best of 2017, here we have five games which were kind of fun to play. I kind of like this idea, don’t you? And also, these five games are all kind of Nintendo releases… kind of.
Meet the new Mario Kart 8, same as the old Mario Kart 8. Almost. Bolting the words ‘Deluxe’ to something you expect an extra level of comfort and quality, and so, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe comforts players with a revamped battle mode, new items, and the ability to hold two weapons at once. Before the release of the Nintendo Switch on the 3rd March 2017, Nintendo decided to take a few units and wheel them around the United Kingdom. Birmingham, Manchester, and London were the choice locations, and with a few dates, a few bookings, people could taste the Switch experience, though not the cartridges.
